Resize Images to Any Dimension

Whether you need a specific pixel dimension for a social media post, a percentage-based resize for consistency across a project, or a precisely sized image for print, DocsFlow's free Image Resizer handles it all with one click.

Common Image Sizes

Here are the most frequently needed image dimensions:

Aspect Ratio Explained

Aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between width and height. A 1920×1080px image has a 16:9 aspect ratio. When you maintain aspect ratio and change only one dimension, the other adjusts automatically to keep the image proportional and undistorted.

Disabling aspect ratio allows you to set exact width and height independently, which may distort the image if the dimensions don't match the original ratio.

Resize vs Crop

Resizing changes the overall dimensions — the whole image is scaled. Cropping cuts away parts of the image to achieve a target size or ratio without scaling. Use our Image Cropper tool if you need to crop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I resize by percentage instead of pixels? +

Yes. Enter a percentage (e.g., 50 for 50% of original size) in the percentage field. The image will be scaled proportionally.

What if I want a specific width but don't care about the height? +

Enter only the width and leave height blank. With aspect ratio enabled, the height will be automatically calculated to maintain the image proportions.

Will resizing degrade image quality? +

Enlarging images (upscaling) can cause blurriness as there is no original data to fill in the extra pixels. Reducing image size (downscaling) typically maintains excellent quality.

What image formats are supported? +

JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF are supported. For animated GIFs, only the first frame is processed.

Is there a minimum or maximum output size? +

Output images can be from 1×1px to 10000×10000px. Extremely large output sizes may be slower to process.
